Tohtori Martin Harris (Liam Neeson) herää sairaalasta auto-onnettomuuden jälkeen ja saa huomata, ettei hänen vaimonsa enää tunnista miestään. Unknown yllättää mukavasti loppuun asti ja pitää salaisuutensa ihan loppumetreille. Mikäli ei välitä muutamista epäloogisuuksista tarinassa on tämä ihan kelpo katsottavaa. Marraskuinen Berliini maamerkkeineen on hyytävää katsottavaa ja kun tarinaan vielä sotketaan Stasi ja kylmänsodan aikaiset Itä-Saksan agentit on soppa valmis. Minä pidin kovasti : )

A biochemist and his dishy wife arrive in Berlin for a conference at which a scientist and his controversial Arab funder will announce breakthrough research. While his wife checks into the hotel, he grabs a cab to return to the airport for his briefcase, left at the curb. En route, an auto accident puts him in a coma, from which he awakes four days later without identification and with gaps in his memory. He goes to the hotel: his wife refuses to recognize him and another man has claimed his identity. With help from a nurse, the cab driver, a retired Stasi agent, and an academic friend, he tries to unravel what’s going on. Is the answer in the briefcase?

These stolen identing movies drops at the market every now and then. These are interesting to look at every time, especially when they manage to surprise. Unknown pleasant surprise to the end and keep his secrets just out of metreille. If you do not care about some of the inconsistencies, this story is pretty decent to watch. A November Berlin landmark is chilling to watch, and the story still mess up the Stasi and the Cold War era East German agents in the soup is ready. I liked very much:)
