Now You See Me (2013)

Kukapa ei pitäisi hyvistä taikatempuista? Itsellä on hyvässä muistissa parin vuoden takainen kokemus Las Vegasissa MGM Grandin teatterissa. Eturivin paikka David Copperfieldin taikashow:ssa. Muutaman metrin päässä omista silmistä tehdään mitä uskomattomampia taikatemppuja ilman että selviäisi miten sinua vedätetään ilman mahdollisuutta saada selville miten temppu tehdään ja shown lopuksi mestari vielä kättelee kaikki eturivissä istujat. Melko unohtumatonta. Ehkä juuri siksi Now You See Me maistui heti alkumetreiltä. Olihan temppujen esityspaikka Las Vegas ja juurikin samainen MGM Grand hotel. Elokuva on illuusioviihteenä aivan loistava, ellei täydellinen. Visuaaliset temput hengästyttävät ja taikurinelikon saumaton yhteistö täydentää katsomisnautinnon. Brian Tylerin musiikki on kuin suoraan taikashowsta ja täydentää loistavasti tunnelmaa. Katsojaa ohjataan harhaan ja seuraavaa käännettä on mahdoton arvata. Siksi onkin harmillista, että elokuvan loppumetrit vesittävät parhaimmat fiilikset. Vaikka loppu elokuvasta onkin melko typerä, toimii tämä loistavana viihteenä. Jos loppu olisi ollut hieman järkevämpi olisi katsomiskokemus ollut täydet viisi tähteä. Nyt on pakko tyytyä neljään.

Four magicians each answer a mysterious summons to an obscure address with secrets inside. A year later, they are the Four Horseman, big time stage illusionists who climax their sold out Las Vegas show with a bank apparently robbed for real. This puts agents Dylan Rhodes of the FBI and Alma Vargas of Interpol on the case to find out how they did it. However, this mystery proves difficult to solve even with the insights of the professional illusion exposer, Thaddeus Bradley. What follows is a bizarre investigation where nothing is what it seems with illusions, dark secrets and hidden agendas galore as all involved are reminded of a great truth in this puzzle: the closer you look, the less you see.

Is there anyone who doesn’t like good magic show? Few years ago I witnessed one of most amazing magic show at Las Vegas in MGM Grand hotel. Sitting in a theatre at the very first row and wondering all that magic and how it’s done just few meters away from my eyes. The magician was David Copperfield and show was pure magic and at the end of the show magician shook hand with all the peoples at the first row. I was sold. Maybe that is the one reason I liked this movie very much. It started at Las Vegas in MGM Grand hotel. This movie is great illusion entertainment, almost perfect. This is visually and fantastic movie. Four magician works together perfectly and Brian Tyler’s music full fill excitement. Viewer is constantly derived to think what happens next, just to see that you were wrong. That is why the end of the movie is too annoying and frustration. With better ending it would be perfect for five stars, now we have to acquiesce for four star. It is great entertainment anyway.
